Aaron Rodgers, GB QB
Did you just lose Carson Wentz last week? Don’t worry, your upgrade is here. All signs are pointing to Rodgers returning this week and he is a must start across all formats if he plays. The Panthers defense isn’t a joke, but Rodgers in a must win in Week 16 sounds tastier than any other scenario for fantasy players. If he was dropped in your league and you have a shaky QB, blow all your FAAB now.
Rod Smith, DAL RB
Two weeks in a row for Rod Smith?! I don’t know man, this feels like a fluke, but how could he not be up here. Smith did most of his damage in the receiving game so at least he’s guaranteed just about every third down. The Cowboys are going to be driving quite often against the Raiders in an important game for both teams so feel free to fire him up for one last hurrah before Zeke comes back.
Jonathan Stewart, CAR RB
Did JStew shake loose from that last place roster in your league weeks ago? Did everybody pass on him because the Panthers offense is bipolar? Well it’s your lucky day. Unless you have 2 stud running backs, you should be streaming JStew for his tasty matchup against the Packers, who allowed the Browns to look like a competent offense last Sunday. The Panthers seem to finally be back on track and JStew has scored a TD in his last three.
Jimmy Garoppolo / Marquis Goodwin, SF QB/WR
HANDSOME JIMMY!? It’s Week 15 and the Titans aren’t looking too hot. The Niners have nothing to lose so expect HANDSOME JIMMY to let it fly. Oh and by the way, he just threw for 334 yards in his first start. If it’s between your proven stud who carried you all season into the fantasy semifinals or HANDSOME JIMMY with the hot matchup well you know who I’d pick.
Goodwin had his first 100-yard receiving day since Week 5 and he is almost a must-start in all formats with this tasty matchup against the Titans coming up.
Saints Defense, NO D/ST
Josh McCown is now out after probably giving the best year of his career to the Jets. I’d expect the Saints to be good for at least one defensive TD against whomever the Jets are starting at quarterback.
Greg Olsen, CAR TE
He played most of the snaps last week, but failed to record a catch. He’s back from injury and still trying to get back in the swing of things. Cam will eventually start looking his way every play, but is that this week or next week? I’ve somehow been wrong more than usual in this section so expect a huge game against a porous Packers defense.
Mike Evans, TB WR
If you’ve been starting Evans the last two weeks and are still alive in your league, kudos to you. Since Jameis returned from his shoulder injury, Evans has averaged just 5.5 targets and 2 receptions per game. This week’s match up against Atlanta isn’t the most daunting, but I’d look elsewhere for someone to get me to the championship game.
