Colt McCoy, Was QB
McCoy played pretty well on just four days of preparation, throwing for 268 yards and 2 touchdowns against an underrated Cowboys defense. He’ll get 11 days to prepare for Monday night’s game against the Eagles and can be considered in 12-team leagues. He’ll need to clean up the turnovers, but McCoy is a decent option.
Carlos Hyde, Jax RB
Carlos Hyde will get an opportunity to make some noise this weekend with Leonard Fournette suspended for one game. Hyde has been pretty ineffective and has averaged only 3.4 yards per carry through for games with the Jags, but is facing an attackable Colts line this week. Take a flier on him if you are desperate for RB help.
Tre’Quan Smith, NO WR
The Saints rookie had a huge game two weeks ago, putting up 10 receptions for 157 yards and a touchdown against the Eagles. He missed last week’s game with a foot injury and is likely still available on your league’s wire. Snatch him up in case he gets the green light this week against the Cowboys and you could have a WR2 for the fantasy playoffs.
Dan Bailey, Min K
Maybe the Cowboys were right to cut one of the best kickers in league history. Bailey converted only one of three field goals on Sunday and is now 4 of 8 from 40+ yards this season. It’s possible that Bailey has lost the trust of the coaching staff and could see his opportunities decline, making it hard to fully trust him for the stretch run.
Doug Baldwin, Sea WR
The Seahawks’ passing game has been largely ineffective all season and Baldwin is averaging just 7.6 yards per reception on his last 17 catches. He’s pretty much a touchdown-dependent WR3 now and should be benched against the 49ers if you have any decent replacements on your bench.
